Common Lies Church Girls Tell

December 09, 2016

A church is supposed to be a place where everyone tells the truth, it’s a holy place. Funny enough, the very same people preaching honesty inside the church are often not so honest themselves. Most ladies inside the church have a tendency to lie about their life and their past in order to be seen as eligible for marriage to fellow church bothers.

What they have failed to realise is that everyone has a past including the brothers they may be lying to. Before joining the church, many people lived life differently. Relationships that take off on a this kind of faulty foundation often run into troubled waters because, the truth is, you cannot keep a secret forever. One of the most common reasons people lie is because there is the perception that church people are very judgmental  – but that doesn’t justify lying in the house of God.

Here are the top three lies church girls are said to tell:

1. I am a virgin
I don’t remember any scripture saying that if you are not a virgin, God will not accept you as His child. Nowhere does it say that virginity equates holiness. Yes, losing your virginity out of wedlock is not a something that is encouraged as a child of God, but bear in mind that God has already forgiven you and even the brother you are lying too, was once a sinner – and probably is not a virgin too. A guy that loves you will support you irrespective of your virginity status. The truth is that you cannot justify this lie beyond the wedding night.

2. How I lost my virginity
No one wants to tell the story of how their first love used enticing words like the devil in the garden of eden, to taste their first fruit. Unfortunately many women resort to deceitful stories such as rape, or being taken advantage of by someone close to them. The list is endless. Have they ever thought that honesty might win their lover’s heart?

3. I’ve not had sex since I was born again
While it is possible to be purified by the grace of God, never lie about this. Not only is it disrespectful to God but many people love to gossip. The truth always has a way of coming out.

So, remember, telling the truth and being honest might make you win your lover’s heart, and provide you with a clear conscience when you enter God’s house.
