EgyptAir: More Time Needed For Investigation

July 05, 2016

Investigators that are part of the EgyptAir crash investigation team, has said that they will need more time to properly analyse the data of the plane;s black boxes as well as other factors to determine what caused the plane to crash.

EgyptAir flight 804 crashed into the Mediterranean on May 19th, killing all 66 people on board.

The team said that in order to draw any conclusions – be that very basic – they will need more time in order to be more accurate.

They said they will have to compare data from the flight data controller with the data of the voice recorder of the cockpit.

Last week, investigators said that the voice recorders found in the black boxes of the plane are in fact, intact and that they will now start analysing them.

They also said that it appears that there was evidence of a fire on the plane before it crashed and that smoke alarms did indeed go off.
