September 21, 2016

According to locals living in the north east of Nigeria, eight of their fellow villagers have been killed by terrorists believed to be affiliated with jihadi terrorist group, Boko Haram.

The attack happened in Kwamjilari – a small village in Nigeria’s Borno state.

According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen, believed to be Boko Haram terrorists, arrived at the scene of the attack on bicycles and opened fire on the villagers.

The attack happened right after a morning religious service in the village.

According to Luka Damina, a local from the nearby village of Kautikeri, many residents of Kwamjilari fled to their village after the attack out of fear that the gunmen may return.

Boko Haram has not yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
