25 Super Eagles Head To France for Training
Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, has invited a total of 25 players to a training camp in Corsica, France, ahead of Nigeria’s African Cup of Nations qualifying match against South Africa at the end of the month.
Rohr has announced that his selected team will start their training in Corsica – an island off the coast of France – on 24 May.
He said that the team will train at the camp for two days, after which they will play a friendly match against the Corsican national team.
After their excursion in Corsica, the Super Eagles will make their way back to mainland France, where they will continue their training.
The Eagles are taking their training for the upcoming match against Bafana Bafana very seriously, as they have failed to qualify for the AFCON twice now.
The team joining Rohr in France include notable players such as Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Sikiru Olatunbosun and Man City star, Kelechi Iheanacho, but will be missing the talents of captain, John Obi Mikel, who is still recovering from surgery.
