Aaron Ramsey: Arsenal Must Win FA Cup for Wenger

Arsenal midfielder, Aaron Ramsey, has said that he wants his team to win the FA Cup for manager, Arsene Wenger.

Speaking to reporters recently, Ramsey said that he – and many of his teammates – want to win the FA Cup for long-serving Arsenal manager Wenger. Especially because Wenger’s fate at the club has not been sealed, and many believe the 62-year-old will step down from the post he has held for than 20 years after this season.

“It was important for us to get to the final for him, for ourselves and for the fans, and have a bit of positivity around the club…He was over the moon for us but we are delighted as well that we have got to a final for him,” Ramsey said.

He continued, saying that he believes Wenger ‘deserves’ to lift the FA Cup trophy this season.

“I think he deserves that and hopefully now we can kick on and win it for him,” he said.

Arsenal managed to book themselves a spot in the FA Cup final, after beating Manchester City 2-1 on Sunday.

They will face Chelsea in the final.

As for Wenger, neither him nor Arsenal has made any official announcement on his future at the club.

Many believe, however, that Arsenal will let Wenger go at the end of the season after facing pressure for fans calling for his exit and a fresh, new manager.

Arsenal will face Chelsea in the FA Cup final on May 27th at Wembley Stadium in London.
