Anichebe To Leave West Brom

Nigerian international striker, Victor Anichebe, has announced that he will be leaving his English Premier League club, West Bromwich Albion in within the next few months.

Anichebe’s contract with West Brom comes to an end in June, and he will not be extending the contract.

While the club has yet to release an official statement regarding Anichebe’s career at West Brom, the Nigerian himself took to Twitter to effectively confirm his departure from the team:

“Thank you to all the @WBAFCofficial fans for the support during my time at the club! I wish you all the best for the future. God bless,” his tweet read.

While there is no denying that Anichebe is a good player, he has been struggling since he made to move to West Brom from Everton.

Anichebe moved to West Brom in 2013 at a £5 million fee.

In total, the 28-year old scored 9 goals out of 63 appearances for West Bromwich Albion.

His last appearance for the club was on April 16th, when West Brom lost to Watford at home, 0 – 1.
