Bayern Munich Signs Hummels and Sanches
It seems that German champions, Bayern Munich, is ramping up their team big time for their Champions League campaign, as news broke that the German club has just signed Mats Hummels and Renato Sanches.
27-year old Hummels, who hails from Germany, joins Bayern Munich now from Dortmund – making him the third Dortmund player to join Bayern.
Sanches, who is still only a teenager at 18 years of age, hails from Portugal and will join the German champions from Benfica.
Sanches was also apparently approached by Manchester United, but Bayern Munich quickly nipped that in the bud by agreeing to pay a whopping 35 million euros plus bonusses for Sanches.
As for Hummels, it is believed that Bayern paid an estimated 38 million Euros for the soccer star. However, neither club has confirmed a price point yet.
Bayern seems very pleased with their signing of these two soccer stars and had this to say about the signing of Mats Hummels:
“…We are delighted that Mats Hummels has opted for Bayern…Mats is one of the best central defenders in the world and with him, we can further increase the quality of our team,” a statement read.
