Borussia Dortmund Want £65m for Aubameyang
Borussia Dortmund has reportedly put a very hefty price tag on one of their star players, Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Various reports are suggesting the English Premier League side, Manchester City, is very much interested in acquiring the 26-year old player.
However, they aren’t the only European club that has shown an interest in him. Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona have also shown interest in the star player.
But it seems that Dortmund will not let go of Aubameyang that easily.
According to report, Dortmund want a whopping £65 million for Aubameyang.
British newspapers have said that should City pay that amount for a player, they would break the record for most expensive player yet:
“…[sic] City lodged an interest with Dortmund at the end of the season – on the instructions of incoming boss Pep Guardiola, who has seen plenty of the 26-year-old while in charge of Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich…But Dortmund’s valuation would shatter the record of £57.9m – paid by Manchester United to Real Madrid for Argentina winger Angel Di Maria two years ago,” the newspaper said.
They also said that Manchester City has not yet made another offer:
“…There has not been a fresh approach from the Etihad since…But the Blues will go back if they receive any encouragement that Dortmund could revise their asking price,” the newspaper said.
