Brazil, Germany Advance To Olympics Soccer Final

The stage has been set for an epic final in the men’s soccer at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Hosts Brazil will face arch nemesis Germany in the final Gold Medal match on Saturday.

This game could be sweet revenge for Brazil, as they were humiliated by World Champions Germany in the FIFA World Cup two years ago, when they were also the host nation.

An Olympic gold medal would definitely be able to ease the bruise that was left by Germany in 2014.

Brazil beat Honduras by a country mile last night in the first semi-final. The host nation sent Honduras packing by beating the 6 – 0.

The second semi-final was between Germany and a very ambitious Nigerian team.

Even though the Super Eagles had a superb game, the Germans managed to beat the African team 2 – 0.

Nigeria and Honduras will now go head-to-head in the Bronze Medal match that is scheduled to take place on Saturday slightly before the final, Gold Medal match between Brazil and Germany.
