Cousin Wants Aubameyang In Premier League
Retired Gabon international footballer, Daniel Cousin, has said that his fellow Gabonese player, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, is ready for a move to the English Premier League.
Speaking to the BBC recently, Cousin said that Aubameyang has proved his worth and that he is ready for the challenge that is the English Premier League. He also said that the Premier League is a different form as to that of the German Bundesliga.
Aubameyang has been playing for Borussia Dortmund, where he has scored 39 goals across all competitions this season.
He effectively also helped his team to second place in the Bundesliga.
Cousin said that he believes Aubameyang wants to move to England:
“…I think he wants to move, he wants to move to England…The Premier League is a different style than Germany, it is more physical. For me, it’s a good moment for Pierre to move to a big club like Man United and Man City,” he told the BBC.
He continued saying that Aubameyang would do well in a big Premier League team:
“…I think he can score more goals and take more experience with [a] big team,” he said.
When asked which Premier League team he thinks Aubameyang would fit most with, Cousin seems to believe that he would do well at Arsenal:
“…Arsenal, because the team plays very well. Arsenal need a striker [to win] the title, if he plays with Ozil, Ozil gives good assist[s] and I think he can play very well with this team,” he said.
Aubameyang won the African Footballer of the Year Award in 2015.
