European Championships 2016

The Euros kick off today, and even amidst terror fears in France, it seems as though football loving Europeans all across the board are excited for one of the most anticipated tournaments in soccer.

Today’s first match will see hosts France play against Romania.

Even though things have been less than happy in France as of late, with the country still being under a state of emergency and facing strikes from the people, the French national team and their coach, Didier Dechamps looked excited for the tournament.

They are also pegged as one of the favourites to win the competition.

“…If you want to go far in the competition clearly you need to have great attacking potential,” Dechamps said of his team.

He also continued saying that he is excited about the team that he has picked for the tournament:

“…I picked these players. I know their qualities, there are players with different characteristics, we’ve been able to score a lot of goals and create a lot of problems for the opponents,”
