Ranieri Praises Ndidi & Musa after Leicester Win
Claudio Ranieri, manager of English Premier League club, Leicester City, has applauded Nigerian players, Wilfred Ndidi and Ahmed Musa after a stunning performance in Saturday’s FA Cup match against Everton.
It was also Ndidi’s debut for the current Premier League champions, as he only joined the team on Thursday after he was acquired by Leicester earlier in January.
Ranieri said that he was very impressed with Ndidi’s performance, especially considering the fact that he had only trained with the team twice before making his debut at Goodison Park on Saturday.
“…Ndidi only trained two days with us, but he showed strong character and personality. A great performance,” he said.
Musa was the star of the show, however, as he scored twice during the match, sealing the deal for Leicester as they won the game 2-1.
Ranieri was equally happy with Musa’s performance.
“…Musa was excellent. I’ve watched him recently and think he is starting to understand English football better,” he told reporters after the game.
This was Leicester City’s first win this season, and they have now progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
