Rooney Happy About Mourinho Appointment

Manchester United captain and star striker, Wayne Rooney, has expressed his excitement about the appointment of Jose Mourinho as manager of Manchester United.

Speaking to the press recently, Rooney said that he was looking forward to Mourinho’s management of his beloved club:

“…It’s exciting. He’s one of the best managers in the world…Obviously he knows the Premier League really well. For myself and the Manchester United players, it’s exciting times. I’m looking forward to it,” he said.

Mourinho was appointed as Manchester United manager last week, after the club sacked former manager, Louis Van Gaal the week before.

Most people have welcomed the idea of Mourinho being the new manager of United, including former United players.

As for Rooney – who also plays internationally for England – he is currently gearing up for England’s friendly match against Portugal, set to take place today.
