Super Eagles Arrive In Luxembourg

May 30, 2016

Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles, have arrived safely in Luxembourg City where they are set to play an international friendly against Luxembourg’s senior national team.

The team recently left Rouen, where they played a friendly against Mali on Friday.

The Eagles defeated Mali on Friday with 1 goal to 0. A great achievement, as Mali is seen as one of the strongest African teams.

Mali seems to be on a winning streak as of late, as their defeat to the Super Eagles on Friday was only their third loss in eleven matches.

They have also managed to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

Fans also seemed to be impressed with Nigeria’s performance over Mali.

Super Eagles team administrator, Dayo Enebi Achor, said that they received various phone calls praising the team:

“…We have received calls from Nigeria that people are happy about the performance of this young team against Mali. Most people believe that we are on to a good thing with this crop of players,” he said.
