The Tanzanian national football side is preparing for a brutal match against Nigeria in a African Cup of Nations qualifier set to take place on the 3rd of September.

And while both Tanzania and Nigeria are out of contention for the 2017 tournament – since their group has already been won by Egypt – the game between the two nations will no doubt be one to look forward to.

Charles Boniface Mkwasa, head coach of Tanzania’s national side, named a 20-man squad for the match, under captaincy of Mbwana Samatta.

Samatta currently plays for Belgian club, Genk.

Mkwasa also named a few other popular players that will join the team for Saturday’s match.

These include Erasto Nyomi, Aggreh Morris, Mwinyi Kazimoto and Juma Nyoso.

Mkwasa said that that the team is very eager to give 100% in their game against Nigeria’s Super Eagles:

“…Our game against Nigeria is important, and even though we will be playing away, I want to ensure we give 100 percent. I have called up players who I believe will deliver, but the door is always opened for any player who will prove his best,” he told reporters.
