Teixeira To Leave Liverpool For Porto

Liverpool midfielder, Joao Carlos Teixeira, has confirmed that he will be leaving the English Premier League club to join Portuguese club, Porto.

Being from Portugal himself, Teixeira seems happy to be returning to his home country.

According to various reports he made the switch as a free transfer.

Teixeira did not really impress much at Liverpool. During his four years at the club, he only made 8 appearances and only managed to score one goal.

Other reports have also suggested that Liverpool tried to offer him another contract, but that he rejected it due to a lack of first team playing options.
