Nigerian football star, Victor Moses, said that he is celebrating with the nations u/23 squad as they return to Nigeria after winning the bronze medal in soccer at the Rio Olympics last week.

Even though Moses was not part of the bronze-winning squad (he had made himself unavailable due to his obligations at his EPL club, Chelsea) he has said that he is celebrating with the national team.

Speaking to the media at yesterday’s Football League Cup match between Chelsea and the Bristol Rovers, Moses said he was extremely proud of the team:

“…I was watching the Games. Obi was the captain, the leader of the side and he did really well for them…It wasn’t easy for them to go out to Brazil and win a medal so I’m very proud. They did their best, to come home with a bronze medal is great and I hope the whole country are proud of them,” he said.

Nigeria’s u/23 men’s soccer team secured Nigeria’s only medal at this year’s summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
