Zidane Hails Ronaldo

Zinedine Zidane has described Cristiano Ronaldo as “one of the most beautiful players in the history of football”.

Ronaldo scored twice in Real Madrid’s Champions League quarter final against Juventus, helping his team win the first leg 3-0.

Not only did the 33-year-old become the first player to ever score in 10 successive Champions League games, but he also scored one of the finest goals of his career.

In the 64th minute, Ronaldo launched himself into the air to send an overhead kick flying past Juventus’ Gianluigi Buffon.

This stunning goal received a standing ovation from Real Madrid and Juventus fans alike.

Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane, said that the goal left him shaking his head in disbelief.

Zidane added: “He shows every time that he is a special player. He always wants to do great things in the Champions League and he never gets tired of doing it, that’s his great quality.”

Juventus boss, Massimiliano Allegri, commented: “I don’t know if Cristiano’s goal is the best in the history of football, but it’s certainly an extraordinary goal.”
